What is Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand?

The study of human activity and interaction in historical, educational, environmental, economic, and political contexts is known as the humanities and social sciences. The Humanities and Social Sciences concentrate on the past and present, from personal to global perspectives, and address potential problems.


Students can gain the capacity to inquire, think objectively, solve problems, interact efficiently, make decisions, and respond to change by learning Humanities and Social Sciences. Understanding the main historical, cultural, political, economic, and social factors involved, as well as how these factors interact, is essential for thinking about and reacting to problems.


The Humanities and Social Sciences courses offer students a strong view of the world they live in and how they can engage as engaged and educated citizens with high-level skills for the twenty-first century.
